The Maine Department of Motor Vehicles’ Sept. 10 visit to Wiscasset will mark the agency’s last time having a mobile unit in Maine’s prettiest village. The town has received word that the DMV is ending the Wiscasset visits to save money, according to the town website at www.wiscasset.org.

An announcement posted online and at the municipal building lists area DMV branch offices to use, at 125B Main Street in Topsham, 19 Anthony Avenue in Augusta, and 360 Old County Road in Rockland.
