Join professional dog trainer Jean Conte on Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. at the Lincoln Home, 22 River Road in Newcastle, to begin a journey towards becoming a therapy dog team. Jean's seminar series focuses on the exercises that you and your dog must perform to earn a Therapy Dog International certification.

The TDI test requires your dog to demonstrate basic obedience commands, control in everyday situations and around adaptive equipment as well as good grooming, pleasing temperament and appropriate social skills while in public and unexpected situations.

Register today for Jean's six-session seminar sponsored by Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center in Damariscotta. One hour classes will take place each Thursday through Oct. 8.
