Boothbay Charities Classic weekend Sept. 25-26
This coming weekend will mark 25 years for the Boothbay Charities Classic. Kicking off the weekend on Friday, Sept. 25, is the lobster bake and silent auction beginning at 4 p.m. and the live auction will begin at 6 p.m. This event, held at the Boothbay Railway Village, is open to the public, and is always a great way to meet some wonderful people, talk with some of your sports heroes, and bring home great sports memorabilia.
On Saturday, Sept. 26, the golf tournament will kick off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., having players from all over the country play 18 rounds of golf in scramble format at the beautiful Boothbay Harbor Country Club.
In celebrating the 25th year of this event, some new items have been added to the weekend, and some amazing sports memorabilia items have been donated and acquired, and will gladly go to the highest bidder. For all registered golfers, the BCC committee will be selling value packets this year which will include Mulligan, 50/50 tickets, raffle tickets for a prize, including a very special surprise package. This can be purchased at the lobster bake the night before at a discounted rate, as well. All proceeds go to Special Olympics Maine. Last year, BCC donated $60,000 from the weekend’s festivities. Please help us make this year, the best year yet. We look forward to seeing you all there.
