Task force receives $25,000 donation
St. Andrews Hospital supporters have a lot more to be thankful for this week with yesterday’s gift of $25,000 from Southport philanthropist Paul Coulombe.
Task Force Chairman Chuck Cunningham said, “The Task Force would like to thank Paul Coulombe for his generation donation. Mr. Coulombe’s gift will allow us to continue to study all the issues involved with St. Andrews Hospital. We appreciate all the donations received to date. The generosity of this community is amazing.”
Boothbay Town manager Jim Chaousis said, “We are about to discuss some of the task force’s biggest efforts at the meeting tonight, discuss the region’s support, and then turn (to) a holiday based on thanks.
“I couldn’t think of a better and more opportune time to thank Mr. Coulombe, Mr. McEvoy and other philanthropic residents of the Boothbay Region. The Boothbay Region is certainly blessed with giving hearts.
“Some have given skills and others hard work but Paul Coulombe’s donation of $25,000 yesterday is a gift that is truly appreciated and will be put to immediate, good use. We will work on getting Mr. Coulombe the tribute he deserves.”
