Hospital community report available
As part of the task force’s community hospital working group, Patty Seybold has interviewed community members about their experiences at St. Andrews Hospital and their healthcare needs. At the Tuesday, Nov. 20 task force meeting, Seybold distributed her 35-page report entitled, “The Community Speaks Out,” and said the report provided a “focus for the future of St. Andrews Hospital if the legal strategy works.”
Over the last three months, Seybold, a business and technology consultant and author, interviewed 48 individuals ranging in age from 14-91. Her report presents a series of excerpts from these interviews organized by topic.
Dr. Andrew Twaddle analyzed Seybold’s interviews and provided his observations in an addendum.
Seybold said her interviews serve as a prelude to the next level of community engagement, which will be organized by iVantage consultants, the task force’s healthcare consultants. Participatory meetings will begin in December.
“We can start co-designing the next generation of St. Andrews Hospital,” Seybold said.
