Halloween costume party and dance at Westport Old Town Hall
The Westport Community Association is once again partnering with the Westport Human Resource Committee to sponsor a great Halloween dance and party for all ages. Put your mind to work to come up with a great costume, then put your dancing shoes on and enjoy an evening of fun on Halloween night, Oct. 31 from 7 to 9 p.m. This will all take place at the historic Westport Old Town Hall, which is about 5 miles south of the Westport-Wiscasset bridge.
There will be a disc jockey who will provide music and some surprises. And what is a party without food? We will have snacks and lots of liquids to quench your thirst after some hearty dancing.
There will also be some games and of course a parade of everyone in costume. Prizes will be awarded to the three best adult costumes in the categories of Most Scary, Funniest and Most Original. Children who are 12 and under can also win a prize for the Scariest, Funniest and Most Original costumes appearing in the costume parade.
Everyone had a terrific time at last year’s dance/party and this year it will be even better since it is on the day of Halloween. The historic town hall will be decorated inside and outside to get everyone into the spirit of the day. And each child will go home with a Halloween bag of treats as they leave the dance.
