Lincoln Academy girls varsity basketball team brings cookies and carols to Lincoln County seniors

What do you get when you mix flour, cookie cutters, frosting, sprinkles, singing and a team of enthusiastic, fun loving girls? The spirit of the season!
Lincoln Academy varsity girls basketball team and their two managers baked and decorated over 300 cookies to share with the seniors of our community. Residents at The Lincoln Home, Coves Edge Nursing Home and Hodgdon Green were treated to carols sung by the girls as cookies were passed and sampled. ElderCare Networks Edgecomb and Wiscasset homes and The Lincoln Homes Harbor View Cottage also received plates of cookies from the girls.
It gave a special meaning to the season to witness this talented group of girls eagerly bake, decorate, and practice carols, knowing what joy it would bring to the seniors of their community. They are an incredible group of young women, both on and off the court, shared Kim Traina of the Lincoln Home.
