Local resources available for career, money management, and small business planning
Lincoln County Regional Planning and New Ventures Maine are teaming up to provide Lincoln County and especially Wiscasset area residents with opportunities for individual career and small business coaching, classes and workshops. LCRPC works with towns, businesses and non-profits to strengthen our economy and communities. New Ventures Maine offers a variety of tools that help individuals and small business succeed in the changing economy.
Whether your goal is building a career, starting or growing your small business, managing money, returning to school, or being active in the community, New Ventures Maine presents classes and workshops at no charge, including in-person and online options, as well as one-on-one coaching for individuals. A full schedule of free trainings, including an online Career Planning course beginning Oct. 19 (registration deadline Oct. 14), is available at http://newventuresmaine.org/schedules/. New Ventures Maine also provides resources such as mini-grants for marketing your small business and matched-savings programs for building an emergency fund, going to college, growing your business, or buying your first home.
