Jail Authority approves moving forward with Oxford contract
On April 12, the Two Bridges Regional Jail Authority, after two executive sessions, voted to allow the finance subcommittee to move forward with obtaining a new contract with Oxford County. It also agreed to renew the contract with MediPro, the medical service provider for the jail.
A meeting scheduled between the Oxford County Commissioners and the finance subcommittee on April 18 was canceled because the commissioners had to end their meeting early. According to Todd Brackett, the meeting will be rescheduled.
No action was taken regarding Mark Westrum, the jail administrator on administrative leave since his arrest for OUI in October.
The Authority called for a special session on April 19, for an executive session to meet with legal counsel to discuss it's legal rights and responsibilities.
