Two Lincoln County men arrested, charged with trafficking Oxycodone
Two men from Lincoln County have been arrested in Rockland and charged with selling the narcotic drug, Oxycodone.
33-year-old Andrew Goupil of Wiscasset and Joseph Dupaw, 68, of Dresden were taken into custody the morning of February 12 as they were about to board the ferry for Vinalhaven.
Maine Drug Enforcement Agents say the two have been selling hundreds of Oxycodone pills in Lincoln and Knox counties for several months. Assisting MDEA with the arrests about 10:30 a.m. were Rockland Police and the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. The two have been under investigation for several months and in addition to the agencies involved in this morning's arrest, Knox County deputies and Wiscasset Police also have been part of the investigation.
MDEA Supervisor James Pease said 200 pills were seized along with $1,550. The street value of the drugs was $7,000. Pease said Goupil is charged with aggravated trafficking and has two prior drug convictions. Dupaw is charged with trafficking and violating his bail conditions from a recent assault arrest in Lincoln County.
The two are being held at the Knox County Jail.
