Wiscasset issued the following statement at 1:37 p.m. Tuesday, July 22:

Route One traffic lights are stuck on red. Please try to find an alternative route when traveling through town. If you need to travel through the area, please plan, expect delays, and be prepared to stop. MaineDOT has been informed, and Town police are on scene directing traffic. Stay tuned for more information. Thank you for your understanding.
