Alna home shot at
Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 4:16 p.m., deputies from Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a house being shot on Head Tide Hill Road in the town of Alna. This is a newly built home; the owners had just closed on the home that same day and were starting to move in. There was no one home at the time of the shooting.
When the owners arrived with some of their belongings, they found six bullet holes in the side of the house facing the driveway. Some of the bullets went through windows into the interior of the home. Some bullet fragments were recovered from the scene, and they appeared to be from a small caliber firearm.
The Maine Warden’s Service Evidence Response Team assisted LCSO with processing the scene. This appears to be an isolated incident and LCSO does not believe there is any ongoing threat to the community.
