Due to the high temperatures forecast for this weekend, the Alna EMA director will be opening a Cooling Shelter at the Alna Fire Station on Saturday from noon until 4 p.m.

Alna residents are welcome to enjoy the air conditioning provided by the new heat pump in the meeting room. Please bring your own entertainment and snacks. WiFi is available.

Children using the shelter must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Pets must be in an enclosure at all times (crate, carrier, cage, terrarium, etc.). Owners of service animals need to provide the appropriate paperwork if the animal is not to be caged.
