Alna’s March election is all incumbents
All incumbents will be on Alna's March ballot, and they are the only ones, Town Clerk Lisa Arsenault told Wiscasset Newspaper.
Arsenault said Nick Johnston seeks to stay first selectman; Michael Trask, road commissioner; and Douglas Morier, an Alna representative to Sheepscot Valley Regional School Unit. The selectboard seat is for two years; school board, three years; and road commissioner, one year.
Absentee ballot requests must be received by the clerk by the close of business on Thursday, March 12, according to the request form, available at the town office; all absentee ballots must be received by the clerk by 7 p.m. Friday March 20, Election Day. The open portion of town meeting is March 21.
Thursday, Feb. 12, absentee ballots would be mailed and be available at the town office, a recent town announcement said.
