Animal shelter fundraiser open mic
The Damariscotta Open Mic is now at Savory Maine and the next one is a benefit for the Lincoln County Animal Shelter (LCAS). Join us on Wednesday, March 8 for dinner and live music! Doors will open at 5 p.m. Open mic signup is at 5:30 p.m. - reservations for scheduling are very helpful.
The open mic will run from 6-8:30 p.m., with a 15-minute break. The open mic is a series of eight-minute, two-song time slots, designed for individual or small group performances. Musicians, singers, poets and other performers will demonstrate their talents.
This is a great opportunity for the Damariscotta community to hear great music and support a great organization - the Lincoln County Animal Shelter. LCAS is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization, animal shelter, and companion animal adoption agency that has been serving animals of rural mid coast Maine since 1959. LCAS’ mission is to protect and save animals’ lives; to educate and advocate for their welfare; to provide exemplary shelter and veterinary care; to place adoptable companion animals in loving homes; and to enhance the bond between humans and animals.
In June of 2016, Lincoln County Animal Shelter came under the management and ownership of Coastal Humane Society in Brunswick, increasing the capacity of the facility and offering access to additional resources.
