The Boothbay Region Art Foundation’s (BRAF) highly popular annual show/sale, Art in the Square is opening Saturday, Nov. 18 running through early January. 

 

Professional and amateur artists are welcome to submit 12” x 12” paintings in any medium. Squares can be purchased at the gallery for $5 each. Submissions info: bring finished work to the gallery on Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon.

 

This show provides very affordable art for all at just $125 a square! Fifty dollars of the sale price benefits for BRAF's Scholarship Fund and the annual BRAF Pre-K through grade 12 Spring Student Art Show. 

 

Check this out: Art in the Square’s opening date, Nov. 18, is also the date of the annual Early Bird Sale & Pajama Party and the gallery will open at the special time of  9 a.m. 

 

Winter hours are now in effect at BRAF, located at 1 Townsend Ave. in downtown Boothbay Harbor: Thursday- Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

 

And, FYI: On Dec. 2, when Boothbay Lights brings Santa, Mrs. Claus and company to town, the gallery will be open until  7 p.m.
