Helen is well known in the Boothbay area for her many years of colorful paintings and creative pieces, Helen presently spends a lot of time with fabric. She states that she loves needle felting, nuno felting, and felting. Her latest project, “The Seasons,” consist of four large wall hangings representing each season. Two of these are in the show. The common theme in each piece is a woman and her dog representing the continual changes we all go through in our lives.

Working with Maine wool and vibrant colors is a continual pleasure for Helen. She cannot remember not having an art project on her dining room table. Her life revolves around art. It gives her motivation and energy to start each day and she is always challenged.
