Team Garron will be hosting a fundraising evening at King Eider's in Damariscotta on Sunday, March 26 from 4 to 9 p.m. to benefit the Maine Chapter of the March of Dimes. They invite the community to drop by for a meal, a drink, or a dessert — whether dine-in or to-go — and Eider's will generously donate part of their proceeds. One hundred percent of the money raised stays in Maine for the March of Dimes goes towards the prevention of prematurity, birth defects and infant mortality through research, programming, education and advocacy.

Team Garron walks in the annual March for Babies in Portland in memory of Garron Adam Martin, born too soon at 23 weeks in 2009. The team captain is his mother, Aubrey, who hopes that one day, all babies will be born healthy and be full-term. Team Garron is comprised of 20 members hailing from midcoast and Southern Maine and have raised over $25,000 for the March of Dimes since the team's inception in 2011.
