Biscay Road in Damariscotta will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. for pipe repair in the area between Hagar’s and Colby and Gale.

The road is the major artery between Damariscotta and Round Pond. According to the Maine Department of Transportation, the detour will be along Route 1-Business to Back Meadow Road to Standpipe, where it will join up again with Biscay Road. Signs will be posted, and motorists who use Biscay Road are encouraged to leave extra time for the trip.
