    Visit the galleries listed below July 6 for specials First Friday receptions, new exhibitions and live demos. Most are within walking distance, others are a short car ride away … all are worth the trip!

         Our new members' July show features new works by more than 140 local and regional artists. Show runs through July 23. A wide variety of paintings, photographs, sculpture, prints and drawings demonstrate the rich talent in the region.

         The gallery is featuring new oil paintings by Carlo Albucci in July. This artist has taken the ordinary and stepped outside the box to show the other side of the dogma, tradition and fantasy.  His paintings are rich and lyrical.

         Rick Dickinson opens his studio for the July 6th First Friday Art Tour. Drive south on Route 27 south from the Harbor, over the Southport swing bridge, past Robinson’s Wharf, turn right on Beacon Hill Road to number 38 past the top of the hill on the left. Follow the stairs down to the waterfront studio.

    First Friday reception: 2-5 p.m.

    Add a horticultural twist to your artistic adventure by extending your tour slightly off the beaten path. See colorful yet peaceful realistic oils by Mary Ellen TK Serina and benches by Ron Serina in the gardens. Wine and refreshments will be served. Directions: Follow Route 96/Ocean Point Road past the East Boothbay General Store. At the top of the hill turn right onto Paradise Point Road. Look for the yellow “Open” banner!
