The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce and area businesses are promoting a St. Patrick’s Day weekend celebration.
Starting on Friday, March 17, Robinson’s Wharf on Southport will open for the season with a corned beef and cabbage dinner special, as well as potatoes and homemade Guinness mustard, Guinness beer cheese and pretzels, Shepherd’s pie and more.
A BBH Paddy Pub Crawl, with ticket proceeds to benefit the Boothbay Region Elementary School teachers who lost supplies and teaching materials in last month’s flood, will be held on the 17th. Participating businesses include Brady’s, Ports Pizzeria, China By The Sea, Marcel’s, Footbridge Brewery, Boathouse Bistor and Pier One Pizza. Visit the Chamber’s website, www.boothbayharbor.com, for more information and tickets.
The Whale’s Tale and Seafarer’s Pub on Atlantic Avenue will celebrate on the 17th with a family-friendly atmosphere with games for kids at the tables. Happy hour, with some fun specialty drinks, will be held from 3 to 6 p.m.
Also on the 17th, Coastal Maine Popcorn is providing Leprechaun Kits “to catch those tricky fairy folk,” with tasty “Bait” and traps.
The House of Logan is continuing its 50-70% sale – Irish or not – on the 17th.
On Saturday, March 18, Boothbay Craft Brewery is holding an Improv Comedy Night in the upstairs Speakeasy. Those 21 and older allowed. Visit the Chamber website or the Boothbay Craft Brewery website for tickets.
The Opera House is hosting the group, Reverie Road, who will get the place jumping with Irish reels and jigs. Visit the Chamber or Opera House websites for more details.
