Christmas Eve service at Skidompha
Rev. Erika Hewitt of the Midcoast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will lead a candlelit Christmas Eve service for all ages on Saturday, Dec. 24 at 4 p.m. in the Atrium at Skidompha Library. The nativity story will be told, and she will reflect on the meaning it holds for us over two thousand years later.
Music director Kevin Kiley and the MUUFles choir will provide music and accompany attendees singing traditional Christmas hymns. The offering will be divided equally between the Twin Villages Foodbank Farm and a future Easter reverse offering used by the congregation's members to do good in the world.
There is no regular Sunday morning service on Christmas Day, but Rev. Erika invites one and all to come at 4 p.m. for a simple hour of fellowship. Whether it's to show of your new socks or share leftover cookies, all are welcome to this informal gathering.
