Clovis S. Kennedy, 65, of Boothbay Harbor, Maine passed away on July 29, 2021 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine.

Clovis grew up in Farmington and Boothbay, attended local schools in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

He spent his working years as a painter, he also was a clam and worm digger and an Alaskan crab fisherman. He loved to fish, hunt and ride his motorcycle. He was a great storyteller and could find humor in anything. He was passionate about his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Clovis was a very stubborn man, and this served him well as he had battled with cancer for the past 20 years. He was loved by a lot of friends and family, and will be sorely missed.

Clovis leaves behind two daughters, Angela Kennedy of Enfield, Connecticut and Harley Harjula of Boothbay Harbor; son, Joshua Harjula of Boothbay Harbor; grandsons, Logan, Luke and Grant Harjula, all of Boothbay Harbor; sisters, Deborah Brown of Skowhegan, Maine and Pam Kennedy of Boothbay Harbor; and a brother, Copey Kennedy Jr.

A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Boothbay Railway Village Museum, Route 27, Boothbay. The service will be held in the Chapel, followed by a reception in the Town Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Barbara Bush Cancer Fund, 22 Bramhall St. Portland, ME 04102.
