Come to St. Andrews Village for a tasty talk on nutrition
Enjoy freshly prepared food, pick up a recipe or two and learn about the important role nutrition plays in healthful aging, all at St. Andrews Village, May 22 at 2 p.m.
Amy Ronan, director of dining services at Lincoln County Healthcare Senior Living, will offer a fresh and healthy snack and some favorite recipes.
Ronan incorporates fresh, locally sourced food, including herbs and vegetables from the Village’s own gardens, into meals whenever possible. She will discuss how to use fresh, local produce and protein without breaking the bank.
Registered Dietitian Dimsie Clark, MS, RD, will talk about the latest research on what our bodies need and what they don’t need as we age. Clark believes that good nutrition doesn’t have to be boring, and nor do talks on nutrition. Everyone is encouraged to bring their questions and be prepared for a lively exchange.
For more information or to RSVP, please call 207-633-0920. This event is free and open to the public, but because snacks will be served, it is very important to have an accurate count of how many people are planning to attend before the event.
