Church leaders are circulating the “Wish List” of needed school supplies - money gifts are very welcome for bulk purchasing. Checks made payable to BRCRC, memo line – Set For Success.

Each year in August, Set For Success event is held at the YMCA where an average of 350 students from Pre-K through eighth grade are gifted a new backpack and every teacher required school supply and much much more. This event has become a large family event.

Students of Boothbay Region AOS98 public schools return to school “Set For Success” with new backpacks loaded with school supplies, new haircut, fingernail polish, clothing, food, gifts of all manner, educational grants, information to help support young families through clubs, churches, doctors, nurses, eye exams and eye doctor, dental support, police, EMT’s; library, Botanical Gardens, Hannaford’s healthy food court and a bounce house. It is estimated there will be at least 35 event booths in addition to age appropriate Free School Supply Shopping Centers.

The support through our community of churches is award-winning each year. Their giving allows the supply ordering to begin in an effort to prepare every student regardless of financial background.
