Cows and chickens at Story Time

“Cows that type. Hens on strike! Whoever heard of such a thing?” said Farmer Brown in Doreen Cronin’s "Click Clack Moo."
Farmer Brown has a problem, his cows found a typewriter in the barn and learned how to write letters demanding electric blankets. Even his chickens get in on the deal and would like some blankets to keep them warm at night in the barn.
The children at the Wiscasset Library Story Time this week really thought this was silly farm behavior and also learned about what is on a farm from the Berenstain Bears book, "Down on the Farm." We made our own chickens and cows from paper plates and construction paper and wonder what other silly things the farm animals may get into.
Story Time takes place each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and all are welcome.
