Visitors turned out for the Shop ’til U Drop Craft & Vendor Fair on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Woolwich Central School. Woolwich Firefighters Association sponsored the holiday event, which celebrated its 11th year.

WFA Treasurer Ginger Maheux told Wiscasset Newspaper about 400 people turned out to peruse 79 tables in the gymnasium and cafeteria. Each table was brimming with colorful holiday gift items, including ornaments, kitchenware, scented candles, handknit scarves, hats, mittens and hundreds of stocking stuffers.

There were also freshly made holiday candies, baked goods, coffee, mulled cider and sweet crepes made to order. Maheux, Woolwich Fire and EMS member Sara Rice, and fireman Rob Nibatger manned tables filled with lots of free fire department promotional items. They were also selling cookies, brownies and other sweet treats.

Tickets were sold for a 50/50 raffle to benefit WFA. Sheri Nelson won. Admission to the fair was free. Vender fees and donations were to benefit WFA.
