Daniel Charles Hurst, 43, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at his home in Salisbury,  Md.

He was born on November 21, 1969 and grew up in the wonderful community of Boothbay Harbor. He loved the outdoors, fishing, boating and to travel. He had just gotten back from Hawaii, enjoying a two-week vacation prior to his death.

Dan was one of the kindest, most loving people who ever lived. He never hurt anyone or did any wrong, always thinking of everyone else before himself; a professional man with a big heart.

Dan was a graduate of Boothbay Region High School and the Massachusetts School Of Pharmacy in Boston and worked as a pharmacist at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md.

He is survived by his parents, John and Nancy Hurst of Boothbay Harbor;  sister, Lucy Barter and husband Greg; brothers, Peter L. Hurst of Sawyer's Island and John Hurst III and his wife Janice of Hallandale, Fla.; nephews, David Barter of Boothbay Harbor and his daughter Denise Stover, Tyler Barter and his wife Rachael and daughters Emilie and Abigail of Kennebunk.
