Dems host candidate event in Whitefield Feb. 7
Neighbors from Whitefield and surrounding communities are invited to meet the Democratic candidates working to represent them at the county and state levels at a community event on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Whitefield Fire and Rescue, 24 Townhouse Road.
This informal, drop-in gathering offers Democrats and unenrolled voters a chance to connect one-on-one with local elected officials and candidates, ask questions, share concerns, and learn more about the issues that matter most to our communities.
Candidates scheduled to be in attendance include: Todd Brackett, sheriff, Lincoln County; Wayne Farrin, running for House District 47; Cameron Reny, running for Senate District 13; Natasha Irving, 6th prosecutorial district attorney; Barbara Cray, running for 6th district attorney
The event is hosted by the Democratic Municipal Committees of Jefferson, Alna, Whitefield and Somerville. There is no formal program; attendees are welcome to stop by at any point during the two-hour window.
Candidates will be available to: Answer questions about local and state issues; gather signatures for nominating petitions; accept $5 individual contributions toward their Maine Clean Elections campaigns.
Light refreshments will be provided. Snow date is Sunday, Feb. 8.
This is a great opportunity for community members to engage directly with the people working to represent them, and for candidates to hear directly from voters.
