Donald Allen Marston, 72, of Augusta died September 23, 2013, at Maine General Hospital in Augusta. 

He was born May 17, 1941 in Portland, the son of Mildred H. Marston and Willis Earl Marston.

Donny attended Boothbay Baptist Church during his school years and graduated from Boothbay Region High School, class of 1959. 

He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964, achieving the rank of SP5. After an honorable discharge, he worked at R.R. Donnelly in Old Saybrook, Conn., Pratt Whitney in Middletown, Conn., Crooker Construction in Bath, and Wal-Mart in Brunswick.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Melissa Dunn. 

He is survived by his sister, Judith Koch and her husband George of Madison, Conn.; niece, Ellen Aub and husband Theodore; nephew, Jonathan Brown; and their children, Samantha and Joshua Romano, and Thea and Anita Aub. 

A graveside service with military honors will be held on October 4 at 1 p.m. at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. Friends and family are welcome.
