February 2015 Lunch and Learn Series
Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center, 521 Main Street, Damariscotta, has announced its February 2015 Lunch and Learn Series, which are held on Wednesdays between 11:15 a.m. and 1. Programs begin at noon.
Advanced reservations are required; call 207-563-1363 by Monday noon. Donation unless otherwise noted: Over 60: $5; Cost for lunch if you are under 60: $6.
Feb. 4: Lunch & Safety: Keeping with Keys with Daniel Goodman, Traffic Safety Specialist, AAA Northern New England. Entree: Chicken Parmesan with pasta noodles.
Feb. 11: Lunch and Poetry: Matters of the Heart with performance artist George Van Deventer. Entree: Swedish meatballs with egg noodles, plus a special Valentine’s dessert.
Feb. 18: Lunch & Folk Art: Primitive Rugs: Heirlooms Past and Future with Susie Stevenson, Primitive Folk Artist. Entrée: Roast Pork.
Feb. 25: Lunch & Economics: The State of Our Region with Marcus Hutchins, the Coastal Economist, $6 per person. Entrees: Chef’s Choice.
Special Valentine’s Lunch on Feb. 9: Friendship and love are in the air and the trees. So are the sensational tastes of a special Valentine’s Luncheon prepared by Center Chef Jim Brown. Light up the darker side of winter by inviting a family member, friend or neighbor to Coastal’s holiday of love and connections luncheon featuring a choice of Mediterranean Pasta with fire roasted tomatoes and sauce or Artichoke Quiche accompanied by a beautiful salad with roasted beets, crumbled blue cheese and walnuts with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing, a side of corn and broccoli casserole, a homemade Valentine’s dessert and beverages. Reservation deadline is Friday, Feb. 6, noon.
To make your reservations call 207-563-1363; $8 per person if you bring a guest who has never been to a special luncheon at the Coastal Center. Otherwise $10 per person. Remember to wear red!
