The First Congregational Church of Wiscasset will once again celebrate the fifth Sunday of the month on Sept. 30 with a hymn sing. In lieu of the morning’s sermon, hymns selected by the members and visitors will be sung. A fifth Sunday occurs only four times in 2018 and each will be celebrated with music selected by the congregation.

The tradition of encouraging requests for favorite hymns began last year and will continue each month containing a fifth Sunday. The next hymn sing on Dec. 30 will feature lessons and carols.
