Food & Farm Film Festival gets underway
For the third year running, the FARMS Community Kitchen will host a free weekly showing of a baker’s dozen of documentary films that compellingly make the case that all of us should pay a lot more attention to what we eat and to where it comes from.
Host Samuel Kaymen will show the first film in the series, “PolyCultures: Food Where We Live,” this Friday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m., at the FARMS Community Kitchen, 323 Main Street, Damariscotta (entrance at the rear of the Rising Tide Market).
Thereafter, feature-length films celebrating thoughtful, responsible eating will be shown every Friday (except March 13) at 7 p.m. throughout March, April and May.
Topics covered range from making a difference in your kids’ lunchroom, to the impact of the chemical revolution on what we eat, to stories about farmers, chefs and entrepreneurs who are creating sustainable food systems.
