Free talks at Anna B’s Barn Shop
This summer in Phippsburg at 6 Parker Head Road, home of Anna B’s Secondhand Barn Shop, entertaining free talks will be held on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. Members of all communities are invited to join shopkeeper, Dr. Marilyn C. Solvay, a social and cultural historian, to learn about the history of yesteryear. Each program will feature objects reminiscent of a simpler time including canning jars, quilts, enamelware, teacups and teapots, matchbox cars, tools, and records.
Programs will be held on Tuesdays: June 12 and 26, July 10 and 24, and Aug. 7 and 21 and all are welcome. Guests should bring along a lawn chair as the programs will be held outdoors. The programs will last 30 minutes and guests will be invited to join in with their own memories and stories. Call 632-7101 with any questions, directions, or to find out the theme for a specific Tuesday.
