Gail E. Parsons
Gail Elizabeth Parsons, 72, of Hartsville, South Carolina, died March 6, 2026 at the McCloud Regional Medical Center in Florence, Massachusetts.
Gail was born on May 8, 1953 in Northampton, Massachusetts, daughter of Wilbur Alfred Parsons Jr. and Dora Elizabeth (Crabtree) Parsons. Gail attended schools in Easthampton, Massachusetts and graduated from Easthampton High School in 1971. Gail graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in microbiology.
Soon after college, Gail worked in the pathology department of a Massachusetts hospital. Gail later moved to Conroe, Texas where she worked as a designer of geodesic storage tank domes manufactured by Conservatek.
Gail moved to Maine and worked many years for the Maine Department of Marine Resources located in Boothbay Harbor. While living in Maine, Gail was a member of the Woolwich Wiscasset Baptist Church.
After retirement, Gail moved to Hartsville, South Carolina where she became a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, involved in many ministries and outreach activities. She also volunteered at Habitat for Humanity in Florence, S.C.
Gail loved the Lord Jesus Christ and enjoyed reading the Bible. She also prized the comfort of the many cats she catered to over the years.
Gail was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by a brother, Jay B. Parsons and his wife Patti Adams Parsons of Cornelia, Georgia; a sister, Gwen Parsons Lemont and her husband David Lemont of Edgecomb; niece Eileen Poitras and her two sons of Harwich, Massachusetts; nephew Dylan Burch and his three children of Warner Robins, Georgia; nephew Bradley K. Lemont, his wife Nikki Lemont and their two children of Plympton, Massachusetts; and niece Leah M. Lemont, her husband Nick A. Kurkjy and their two children of Clinton, Massachusetts.
Burial will be in North Edgecomb Cemetery in Edgecomb.
