On Tuesday, Dec. 13, the Wiscasset Elementary School Chorus and Band gave their holiday concert. Students worked hard to prepare festive music to share with families, friends and the community for this special occasion. Choral Director, Mrs. Drury, and Band Director, Ms. Brewer, are extremely proud of all the hard work and accomplishments of our performance ensembles. Wiscasset Middle High School junior Clara Mugnai and senior Aidan Carlson tell the Wiscasset School Committee about work they and other students have been doing in teacher Prema Long’s advanced placement biology class. On the table is an aquaponics system for growing plants fertilized by fish waste. In an email following the Dec. 15 presentation, Long said the system came as a kit from the nonprofit ECOLIFE Conservation. The kit was a grant valued at about $300, Long said. She found it online.
