Wiscasset Town Manager John O’Connell said Duane Goud signed a two-year contract as parks and recreation director Nov. 13. Goud had served as recreation programmer and then interim director when Lisa Thompson resigned last month.

O’Connell said the town also hired an operator for the wastewater treatment plant. Rob Lalli will be training to replace Richard Gaeth, who retires in January. O’Connell said Lalli would start Nov. 19.
