Greetings from the Wiscasset Sno-Goers

Dear Editor:

As we close out another snowmobile season, we are reminded of how many individuals, landowners and local businesses we rely on for us to be able to maintain our 30+ miles of trails that we are responsible for here in town.

The landowners who generously allow us the passage over and through their property to connect our trail system through woods, fields and in some cases their backyards. We appreciate you and thank you!

The local cusinesses that join our club as Business Members allow us to put out a trail map to promote our sport and contribute to costs associated with trail maintenance and upgrades.

A big thank you goes out to our Business Members / Supporters: Ames Supply, Coastal Climate Control, Country Home Wood Floors, First National Bank, Grover Construction, Hancock Lumber, K&A Property Services, J. Edward Knight Insurance, Laid Back Lumber, Market 27, Norm’s Used Cars, Possibilities Salon, Pro Body Works, Red’s Eats, Wiscasset Auto Parts, Wiscasset Community Center and Wiscasset Speedway.

Club members that enjoy snowmobiling so much that even when mother nature doesn’t cooperate they join locally and put in the time before snow flies to make sure bridges are repaired, trails are cleared and signs are put out.

This season the Sno-Goers replanked/rebuilt three bridges, enjoyed hot dog roast at the clubhouse (where members were able to ride in on their sleds), donated to a local charity, recognized and thanked our landowners with our annual Christmas card and ended the season with a dinner out to a local restaurant.

Before we know it the 2023-2024 snow season will be here!

If you would like to join the Wiscasset Sno-Goers and be a part of a great thing, please reach out to us at WiscassetSnoGoers@gmail.com or through our Facebook page.

Thank you all again for your support!

Chet Grover
