Hike the Halloween Story Trail - through Oct. 31

At Oak Point Farm, 60 Samoset Rd, Boothbay Harbor, read a family friendly book while you hike! Follow the illustrated signs along the trail as they tell a tale to get you in the Halloween spirit. This easy 1 mile walk can be completed at your own pace and on your own time and is suitable for children of all ages. Just drive to the trail head and you will see the start of the Halloween Story Trail. This event is free and advance registration is not required. Railway SPOOKtacular - RESCHEDULED to Friday, Oct. 26

A ghoulish afternoon and evening of monstrous family fun from 4-8 p.m. Guests are encouraged to dress in costume and bring a trick-or-treat bag. Your ticket/passport will guide you around the Village for trick-or-treating, a train ride, bounce houses, games, barrel train rides, face painting, pumpkin decorating, food vendors. Vote for your favorite trick-or-treat table and pick out a Halloween toy to take home! Tickets on sale at the gate: $5 ages 3 and up, free for children under 3. 586 Wiscasset Rd./Route 27, Boothbay. Boothbay Fire Department’s Haunted House returns! Free event - 6-8 p.m. Refreshments will be provided and served by the Boothbay Region Missfires. All are welcome. 911 Wiscasset Road/Route 27, Boothbay.

Trick or Treat Street in Alna - Sunday, Oct. 28

The lively annual event in Alna, Trick or Treat Street happens from 2-4 p.m. on the Dock Road, located between Routes 218 and 194. The road will be blocked from traffic for the event. Trunker participants: arrive between 1:30 and 1:45 for set up - with or without a vehicle. All vehicles should face west. All are welcome, including new participants. Trick or Treaters: arrive between 2 and 4 p.m. Park on either end of the Dock Road.

Trunk or Treat at YMCA - Tuesday, Oct. 30

It’s time for the annual Trunk or Treat hosted by the Boothbay Baptist Church. A free, family-friendly event hosted by the Boothbay Baptist Church at the Boothbay Region YMCA (236 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Decorated theme tables, folks handing out treats, bounce houses, and ... the UMaine basketball performing dunk team! Scary Readings & Community Potluck – Tuesday, Oct. 30

Doors creak open at 5:30 p.m. (no early arrivals). The Opera House is decorated for the Halloween season, awaiting the arrival of brave community members for our annual community potluck dinner (6 p.m.) and evening of scary readings. Please bring a main dish, side dish, salad or dessert (no breads please), with plenty to share, in addition to serving utensils; also bring your own place settings - plates, utensils. Costumes optional, but … This is an adults Halloween event unsuitable for children. Readings (6:45-ish) will be frightening, unsettling, scary ... and more.

BHML Halloween Parade – Wednesday, Oct. 31

Costumed kids and family members gather at the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library, 4 Oak St., Boothbay Harbor, at 4 p.m. and set out trick or treating throughout the town! Route: from the Library through Bath Savings parking lot, down Townsend Avenue and on to the Methodist Church.

Nightmare on Federal Street – Wednesday, Oct. 31

On Federal Street in Wiscasset. Halloween parade: lineup at 4 p.m. in the parking lot at Wiscasset Elementary School, 4:30 p.m. Parade on Federal Street; then comes the block party, with live music, food, Trunk or Treat; and a costume contest!

Halloween at the Senior Center - Wednesday, Oct. 31

Join us for a fun night at the Wiscasset Senior Center at 5 p.m. Wear your best Halloween costume because Best Costume wins a free dinner!  We will be having meatloaf (or chicken – order when you R.S.V.P. ), mac & cheese, salad, soup, salad and dessert.
