The National Weather Service of Gray has issued a hazardous weather outlook for York, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties.

According to the NWS, a strong storm system will impact the coastal and western region of Maine with light snow the night of November 26, then changing to rain quickly. Rain could be heavy at times through Wednesday, which will total 2 to 3 inches. Gusty south winds are possible Wednesday with gusts up to 40 mph.

Lincoln County Emergency Management and Communications reported numerous motor vehicle accidents on the morning of November 26. Drivers are advised to use caution and to reduce speed in areas of inclement weather.
