Hearty Roots welcomes Reven Oliver as associate director
Hearty Roots is overjoyed to announce that Reven Oliver will join their growing staff team operating out of its headquarters at 18 Water Street, Damariscotta. Many readers will recognize Reven from her work with the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce, where she serves on its board of directors.
“Reven’s arrival marks a transformative milestone for Hearty Roots,” says Haley Bezon, founder and executive director. “Her rare blend of global experience and local heart is exactly what we need for this next chapter. As we scale, Reven’s expertise will ensure our mission reaches every young person who needs it. We aren’t just growing our team; we are deepening our promise to the community.”
Prior to joining Hearty Roots, Reven was integrated into the community as director of Philanthropy and Development for MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital. Originally from Wellfleet, Cape Cod, Reven moved to Maine in 2016. She held development positions with the American Cancer Society of Maine as well as special event positions at Maine Magazine and L.L.Bean. Earlier in her career, she spent nine years working in professional tennis, including five years in a public relations role with the WTA Tour (women’s professional tennis). She lived in Australia for a year while working on the Sydney Olympic Games and enjoyed subsequent roles with the Salt Lake City and Athens Olympic Games.
Reven has settled in New Harbor. When she’s not making community connections, Reven enjoys gardening, photography and exploring the coast.
“I’m deeply excited,” said Reven. “Throughout my career, I’ve worked to design programs and initiatives that foster belonging, resilience, and confidence—helping individuals thrive not just in the moment, but over time. Hearty Roots’ work does exactly that, planting seeds that grow into healthy relationships, self-awareness, and stewardship of the world around us.”
Please stop by to welcome Reven and join Hearty Roots in celebrating this latest key addition to a small, nimble team serving over 1,000 youth throughout Lincoln County.
