St. Philip’s Help Yourself Shelf Food Pantry needs help with donations toward a matching grant from Good Shepherd Food Bank. The matching grant ends the last day of May. If you feel you could donate toward this, please make checks out to St. Philip’s Help Yourself Shelf, with ‘Good Shepherd Matching Grant’ in the memo line, and send them to St. Philip’s at 12 Hodge St., Wiscasset, ME 04578.

The Help Yourself Shelf is open to all experiencing food insecurity, no matter what town a person is from. Every Thursday, sign-in begins at 4:30, with selection beginning at 5 p.m. If people have not registered before, we ask that they arrive early in order to do so and to be instructed in the Shelf’s procedure.

Speaking of grants, thanks to a grant to Good Shepherd, its Food Truck will be making a visit to St. Philip’s on Thursday, May 29, beginning at 5 p.m. People accessing the truck will need to arrive early to sign in and receive a place in the line.
