Have ewe herd?

An "Introduction to Herding" with Marcia Welch will be held Sunday, May 22 at 10 a.m. at the Mill Farm in Edgecomb. This workshop is a fun opportunity to learn a little about herding and also to see if your dog is interested in livestock. Your dog doesn't even have to be in the herding "group." In addition to the herding breeds, Marcia has worked with poodles, terriers, and even a chihuahua!

Marcia has experience with many different breeds of dogs from border collies to the more "upright" breeds. She has been training and trialing her own Australian shepherds for about 20 years and teaching herding for almost 10 years.

Marcia enjoys working with her own dogs, but especially enjoys helping others to learn about herding.
