Historical society quilt raffle
The Boothbay Region Historical Society announces that tickets are now available for this year’s fundraising raffle, which features a beautiful handmade quilt donated by Betty Wilder of Dayton, Ohio. This cozy quilt is a delightful combination of bold colors and is perfectly sized at 48 by 60 inches for use as a sofa or lap quilt, a wall-hanging or on a child’s bed. The winning name will be drawn on December 6 at the society’s annual holiday open house. The winner need not be present to win.
Tickets are available at the BRHS museum at 72 Oak Street which is open from Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $1 per ticket or six for $5. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the society’s work in preserving the Boothbay region’s history, maintaining the museum’s collections and research facilities, and educating the public.
