Let's get down this holiday season. Downtown, that is, as in downtown Wiscasset for a fun seasonal favorite: a night of caroling Thursday, Dec. 20. 

All those interested are invited to meet up outside of Treats on Main Street at 6 p.m. for an hour of caroling downtown (come early for Treats' last wine tasting of the year). 

The shops will be open until 7 p.m. for the Think Outside the Box Passport campaign so there will be plenty of audience for us to serenade. Carol booklets will be provided. 

The caroling will wind up at Le Garage's Pub, 15 Water St., where the Wiscasset Area Chamber will be drawing the passport raffle at 7:30 p.m., immediately followed by fireworks over the river, compliments of Big Al's Fireworks. 

If you haven't gotten any stamps for your Passport yet, there is still time for a chance to win great prizes, including an aerial tour of the Wiscasset area and more! Passports for this buy-local campaign are available at participating shops and in the Wiscasset Area Chamber office on Route 1.

Downtown caroling and the raffle drawing are both family friendly events and are open to all ages and stages.
