Lincoln Arts annual jazz festival
Lincoln Arts Festival’s popular annual jazz festival tunes up this Saturday, July 20 with the Thomas Snow Trio at the Sprucewold Lodge.
Maine-based pianist Thomas Snow has performed with jazz luminaries such as Harry Allen, Jeff Coffin, Dave Holland, Ken Peplowski, Larry Coryell, Nick Brignola, Phil Wilson and Herb Pomeroy.
In the pop world, Snow has also played and recorded with artists including The Motor Booty Affair, bluesman Troy Turner, and celebrated singer/songwriter Gene McDaniels. In addition to appearing on dozens of recordings, his own CD releases are “Northern Standard Time” (1997), “Christmas at Mast Cove” (2001), “Some Other Time” (2007), and his newest CD “Friends” (2013).
Snow has degrees from Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory of Music.
In addition to his performing and writing career, Tom is a Lecturer in Music at Bates College and tours frequently with singer/songwriter Jonathan Edwards.
In the trio, Snow is joined by tenor saxophonist Ralph Norris, a fixture on the Portland music scene for 50 years, and acoustic bass player Tim Webb. Since 2006, Webb, who performs throughout New England with various musicians, has worked with local creative improvising group Equal Time.

Tickets for Saturday, July 20 at the Sprucewold Lodge are $12, available at the door, or at A Silver Lining, the Boothbay Harbor Chamber of Commerce, the Boothbay Information Center, and for residents of St. Andrews Village, from the Village office.
