Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: 4 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 271 calls for service for the period of Aug. 19 to Aug. 26. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 9,705 calls for service.
Summonses
Matthew C. Ginger, 51, of Boothbay was issued a summons Aug. 22 for Violating Condition of Release, on Bryer’s Circle, Boothbay, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Brandon M. Perkins, 35, of Dresden was issued a summons Aug. 24 for Criminal Trespass and Criminal Mischief, on Carney Point Road, Dresden, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Arrests
Daniel H. Lewis, 32, of Boothbay was arrested Aug. 20 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Back Narrows Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Joseph Booth.
Mallory V. Gommo, 28, of Boothbay was arrested Aug. 21 on a Hancock County warrant for Failure to Appear on a Theft charge and for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – OUI, on Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Matthew N. Boegel, 27, of Rockland was arrested Aug. 22 for Eluding an Officer; Reckless Conduct; Driving to Endanger and Motor Vehicle Speeding: 30+ MPH over Speed Limit, on Augusta Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson, who was assisted by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
Brandon M. Perkins, 35, of Dresden was arrested Aug. 24 on a Lincoln County warrant for Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault and Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, on River Road, Dresden, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Accidents
On Aug. 19, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Linwood E. Palmer, 81, of Nobleboro and William K. Smith, 54, of Damariscotta. Mr. Smith was operating his 2022 Ford-150 westbound and Mr. Palmer was operating his 2024 Ford Super Duty southbound, pulling out of the parking lot to turn left (eastbound) onto Main Street. Mr. Palmer failed to yield to Smith’s vehicle and as a result, his front passenger side corner struck Mr. Smith’s back left passenger side quarter panel. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 21, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Suzanne L. Funck, 64, of Barron, Wisconsin and Hannah R. Ruegg, 17, of Bristol. Ms. Funck had parked her 2025 Kia K5 legally and Ms. Ruegg was backing her 2013 Volvo C30 when she struck Funck’s vehicle in the driver’s side front fender. Deputy Mark Fortin was the investigating officer.
