Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce members came together Aug. 3 to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of Maine Tasting Center on Old Bath Road.

The Center opened in July and features food and beverages from all over Maine. A different Maine brewery is also featured each month with Allagash being the highlight for August.

Chamber Chair Chip Davison welcomed everyone before chef Elizabeth Gross cut the ribbon alongside president Andy Gross and general manager Sara Gross. Sara expressed how grateful they have been for the local support and how they’d seen many more guests from the surrounding towns than they’d ever imagined. She also said they hoped to have the final touches completed on the Learning Center building, (where classes will take place) in the next couple of days.
