On Thursday, May 23 at 3 p.m., author Mark Biscoe will present excerpts from his book “No Pluckier Set of Men Anywhere” – families and ships of Damariscotta/Newcastle -- for a portion of an illustrated talk. Mr. Biscoe will then tell the incredible story of the Mabel Clark, an 1878 Waldoboro vessel wrecked on the South Atlantic island Tristan d’ Acuna.
