Mid-March classes at Adult Ed
Take a class at Boothbay Region Adult Ed in mid-March to learn how to troubleshoot computer problems, make homemade marshmallow “peeps” for Easter, market your business or organization through social media, or learn exercises to help relieve back and neck pain.
If your computer is running slow or has other problems, then PC Troubleshooting is a class that can help. Gain a basic understanding of components, and then learn to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot common problems. This two evening class meets on March 18 and 20, 6-8 p.m., and the fee is $28.
Once you have tasted a homemade marshmallow, you will never settle for a store bought one again. Join Sara for a fun class Marshmallows (Fluff and Peeps) on Tuesday, March 19 to make vanilla marshmallows, marshmallow fluff, and homemade Easter Peeps! The time is 6-8 p.m., and the fee of $18 includes cost of ingredients.
In Outsmarting Neck and Back Pain Dianne Daniels will show you some gentle movement sequences to allow greater flexibility and less discomfort. Based on the Feldenkrais Method, this class will take place on the floor, so please bring a mat and two towels. This one evening class is on March 21, 6-7 p.m., and the fee is $8.
Knots, Bends and Hitches, Monday, March 25, is a hands on program will cover many of the important knots, bends, and hitches used by mariners and the specific uses for each Participants will be provided a three strand whipped line to use during the session. Learn the proper way to tie up to a cleat and to a mooring. The time is 6-8 p.m. and the fee is $12. Bring $3 if you wish to purchase the your lines.
Explore social media options for your small business or organization in Intro to Social Media Marketing. In this two evening class you’ll learn about social networking sites and their mobile counterparts that have become part of everyday life as well as Twitter, LinkedIn, and other effective online marketing options. (you should be familiar online social media websites). The class meets on March 25 and 27 from 6-8 p.m. and the fee is $28.
In Digital Photos – Now What you’ll learn to download photos onto your computer, resize, edit, save, organize and email photos. The class is on March 26 and 28, 6-8 p.m. and the fee is $28.
